Bildetekst: Having built the ground floor this summer, we are now continuing with 1st floor.

Bildetekst: The two-storey extension of our community centre is rising, soon giving our organisation a bigger assembly hall / classroom, offices/library and an apartment section.

HELP - put into practice

The organization was founded in 1998, by local villagers in Kalutara district, in southwestern Sri Lanka. Here is an introduction to the very practical work being done by HELP, written in Norwegian by the leader Siripala Gamage in October 2005. The memo is also available as a single 0,8 Mb pdf file.

Our organization is committed to:

- development education, inspired by the folk high school idea
- cultural and social work, for peace
- environmental action
- conservation farming and herbal medicine
